In response to this growing problem, state legislatures and local councils are increasingly passing legislation intended to reduce workplace violence.
As state and local governments become more active in workplace violence prevention, employers need to be prepared to address current and emerging legislation and standards. Risk mitigation practices can help employers develop robust, sustainable workplace violence prevention policies tailored to the unique challenges faced by the organization. Such programs will have the best outcome, ensuring an effective and compliant program and an overall culture of safety that employees will welcome and support.
